AVAILABLE PRESENTATIONS
I’m available to present the following programs for libraries, community organizations, and more. Every talk can be done either in person or virtually, and can be adapted to fit your audience’s needs. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, feel free to reach out! In some cases, my fees can be flexible. I’m happy to send references and sample materials upon request. Longer program descriptions with my bio and images available for download here. New Jersey day trips
No matter where you live in New Jersey, you’re likely around the corner from an interesting museum, historic site, or park. This program utilizes my original photography and compelling fun facts to introduce you to cool places around the state. Whether you’re new to New Jersey or have lived here all your life, you’ll be inspired to visit the places highlighted (you’re also welcome to just enjoy this tour from your couch!).
revolutionary New Jersey day trips *new for 2026*
In 2026, the New Jersey Historical Commission and Crossroads of the American Revolution Association will commemorate the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution in New Jersey. This lecture is a similar format as my day trips program, but with a Revolutionary twist. Discover interesting parks, museums, and historic sites that have ties to New Jersey’s Revolutionary War history, located all throughout the state. This talk is told from a friendly point of view, with interesting facts I’ve researched and my original photos.
demystifying the BOOK PROPOSAL
Do you have an idea for a non-fiction book? The first step towards publication is to put together a book proposal. I answer common questions non-fiction writers have about the daunting process using what I learned while crafting my book's proposal, which I sold to a publisher in 2020. I share samples of my proposal, helpful books and resources, and practical tasks to get started. Participants will leave with a greater understanding—and less fear!—of what a book proposal is and how to craft one that will sell.
promote your book your way
If you’re a soon-to-be published author, congratulations! In addition to being deeply personal to you, your book is now a product, and making that mental shift can be tricky. I’ll share some of the (sometimes scrappy, sometimes traditional) strategies I used to promote my traditionally published book that complimented the efforts undertaken by my publisher. Learn why and how to put together a preorder campaign, website best practices, how to get used to seeing your book as a product, and more.
